10 THINGS I WISH I KNEW ABOUT HIM
His favorite color
What kind of music he played on the radio
The cologne he wore
His strengths and his weaknesses
What kind of car he drove
Something he was proud of
Was he a morning person or a night owl
Something that made him laugh
What did he want really want to be when he grew up
Did he ever regret not meeting me?

I think that is the saddest part in all of this is that you will never get to know the answers to some of those questions. I expect the one you really want to know is the last one and something no one else can ever answer for you. Your Mother could probably answer some of those questions for you but it just would not be the same.
I have questions for my dad as well that I will never know the answers to and I don’t know if I ever really want to know anymore. It is not really important . With my dad he chose to take himself out of our lives well mine anyway. I feel and will always feel such a disappointment to him and I know that without even asking. It is his loss though not mine because I had so much to give and so mush to say but he didn’t want to listen.
I know my fathers favourite colour was green and the reason I know that is that everything he did or made or painted he did with green. Ironically I like Green as well but a much softer pastel green of course any other green makes me sick.

Actually my mom can’t answer any of them. Not a one.
This is beautiful, Susan. Thank you for sharing it–you really touched me this morning.
Thank you, Cindy.

…something he was proud of.
Something that moved him. Anything that would tell you something more than bare facts…
Re: tanita says 🙂
Exactly!
