Sometimes less is more. That in itself is a very strong statement. Less was definitely less when we were growing up. We didn’t have much money and we had to watch all our cousins get lots of things for christmas while we got very little. My father always blamed me as I needed extra money for operations ans special boots amd callipers. Again how dare I be born not perfect. He failed to see what I had to give because he was too busy worrying about how much trouble I was. No wonder I was also such an unhappy child.
Should I now forgive him just because he asks me to so that he can feel better. I think not right mow let him be on the receiving end for a while. We don’t here from him for years and now because it suits him he decides he needs us.
Less is definitely more in our family.

I remember in the 6th grade trying to tell a friend who’d never known a father that really, sometimes it was cool not to have one.
He didn’t believe me either.
