Today is my friend Eileen’s, aka hulabunny , birthday.
Eileen is in the process of writing her first novel and if I didn’t like her so much I’d be insanely jealous of how wonderful it is already in its early draft stages. She’s fast approaching that middle that often causes us to muddle and I don’t want her to lose the energy to finish her wonderful story.
I thought it would be great if anyone who reads this could help me wish her a happy birthday by going over to Eileen’s blog and sharing a piece of writing advice that you found especially helpful. If you are a mom trying to juggle kids and a job and a husbanad and a house and can share some writing/life balance tips, that would be great too! Go on, go do that now then you can come back and read the rest.
Let me tell you a little bit more about Eileen.
She is a huge dog lover.
She’s not afraid to tell me when I’m wearing the wrong clothes.
If I’m afraid to try something new, she’s always there to encourage me.
She’s always up for going out for a good meal.
She understands the importance of lazy days and encourages me to take more of them.
She always seems to be able to tell when something is wrong in my life.
And she is always willing to listen to me tell her all about it.
When I’m really frustrated she listens to me rant.
She knows when it’s time to push me to get out of the house.
Sometimes I lose my confidence in myself
But she is always ready to give me a pep talk
Or do something silly to make me laugh
She helps me remember that life is meant to be enjoyed.
And that good friends are special treasures.
Happy birthday, Eileen. Thank you for being a friend.
What a wonderful tribute. Everyone should have a friend like Eileen. You’re one lucky (ahem) dog!
Yes, I’m really lucky to have Eileen as a friend.
Thanks!
So cute! These pictures made me smile this morning. I especially love the one where she’s standing at the fence, looking out.
Yes, I think that’s one of my favorites too!
Adorable pictures! Well, except for the one with bared fangs.
Happy Birthday, Eileen!!! I’m glad you share the gift of friendship.
LOL on the fangs.
awwwww
🙂
I know she’s a dog, but she seems so personable. Too cute!
It’s all a bunch of different dogs too! Eileen’s favorite dog is the Rottweiler so I got the bright idea to try and find Rott pictures for this. It was hard!
Happy Birthday to Eileen.
Thank you for posting all the dog picts. My 18 mo old LOVED them (she loves dogs).
It was fun.
What a great tribute to Eileen! I’ll go over and wish her a happy birthday.
Thanks for helping me make her day special!
Wahhh! (*tears of joy*) That is the sweetest birthday gift I have ever gotten. What could be better than making new friends on my birthday. You are Susan Taylor Brown, and you rock! Thank you.
You’re very welcome!
I’m glad you were surprised. Have you seen all the great comments about your poem in the post below!
I will wish her a Happy Birthday right now!
Thanks!
