If you use one of the online photo albums to upload pictures and share them, please tell me the EASIEST one to use that will allow big photos (high res) to be uploaded.
My former mother-in-law takes hundreds of pictures of my grandson when she has him every week and I never get to see them because they are too big for her to email. She’s not technically inclined (though she’s using a digital camera) and I’d like to have my son show her how to use an online album so she can share them all with me.
Any suggestions?
Thanks.
My fave is Photobucket. They allow large images (or, large enough for me) and have a really easy interface to use. Another one (I don’t like it as much) is TinyPic.
Thank you. Easy will be good for her.
Flickr is what I know and love. You can upload 200 photos for free.
Thanks. After 200 you have to pay?
We use Photobucket, but the one we use most of all is Shutterfly. We have stored hundreds of photos there for several years, neatly organized in albums. They also offer prints and various products like albums and cards.
Thanks for this info. I’ll pass it on.
If I ever lose my photos and images in my PHOTOBUCKET account, I urge you to lock my windows– and don’t let me get near an oven.

Pamela dear, repeat after me – BACK UP. One external hard drive will help you sleep. Trust me. I know these things. 🙂
Snapfish is really easy to use, and completely free. And it has a special widget/tool for batch uploading, which works well with hi-res pix.
Batch tool is good. Thanks Laura.
organization for photos (and much more)
Try Compupik (wait–compupic? ). My computer nazi put in on for me (I’m developmentally delayed in computer stuff), and I love it.
Re: organization for photos (and much more)
oh that’s a new one for me. thanks. I’ll go check it out.
Merry Christmas! Happy New Year!
I love Shutterfly. We have seven years of pictures stored there. I also use Walgreens.com when I want to send pictures that my family might want quickly. They can pick them up at any Walgreens
Thanks,Kim. I hope you and those adorable girls and you (and hubby too) had a wonderful Christmas.
Ooh – I didn’t realize you could keep their pics in your account. I like that idea. Thank you.
