for my new blog.
No, I’m not quitting this blog but I will be starting a new blog to document the process of putting in our native garden and hopefully creating a bit of paradise for wildlife in the middle of the city.
I’ve been searching for other garden blogs and some of the names are very cute and clever. (And of course, some are not.) I have a couple of ideas but sometimes brainstorming with other people gets my own gray matter all stirred up.
Suggestions, anyone?
Native Paradise?
Ooh! I like that! Thank you.
The one of my own I’m playing with is Poppy Thoughts.
Susangardens?
Susanplants?
GreenSusan?
Ah, I like the connection with Susan Writes. Thank you.
Au naturale?
Going natural?
Susan gardens, naturally?
Nice! thank you.
Yep, I like those, thanks. Though they’re already taken over at Blogger which is where I’m going to do the new blog. Darn.
Susan’s Secret Garden
Flower Child
More when I wake up
-pamela
I am actually building a secret garden!
Flower Child! I like that. One of the ones I found was Heavy Petal which I thought was great!
The Green-Eyed Monster (because I do not have a Green Thumb)
Green Space
Green Peace
Green Pages
Guess you wouldn’t go for..
Susan Taylor GREEN, hee heeee….. ;}
-Pamela
(ouch, just remembered some dirty “comic” who had a puppet named Madame Flowers!)
Re: The Green-Eyed Monster (because I do not have a Green Thumb)
LOL on the green-eyed monster. Me neither, usually, which is part of the appeal of using native plants. We put them in the ground, do absolutely nothing to them, and they either live or die. most live.
I love Green but I don’t want people to think I’m all about sustainable stuff. Because I believe in it but won’t post a bunch about it. Hmmm..
I was playing with Poppy Thoughts and now this brainstorming made me think of Poppiness.
What do you think?
Re: The Green-Eyed Monster (because I do not have a Green Thumb)
What do you think of Native Dirt?
Oh boy, look at this list! http://www.thisgardenisillegal.com/other-gardening-blogs
Re: The Green-Eyed Monster (because I do not have a Green Thumb)
Native, native…. you just made me think of a nutty one:
In-DIG-enous

-Pamela, loving your LJ home page banner and wondering how you got it to look like that
Plant a dream.
Sigh. I love that. Must go see if it’s taken.
Bother. Someone started a blog with that name in 2001 and hasn’t posted since.
I was playing with Poppy Thoughts and now this brainstorming made me think of Poppiness. What do you think?
Poppiness makes me think of opium eaters crossed with popcorn. Sorry, I’m a foodie.
Budding Dreams?
Garden Guru?
Susan Sows?
LOL on opium eaters.
I was thinking of a play on “happiness”
Hmmmm….Budding Dreams is a maybe and available.
I’m not a guru (and am doing this to show all my mistakes) and Sows makes me think of seeds and while I will seed, it’s not all about that.
Pamela’s Flower Child is neat too except it isn’t all about flowers.
Native Dreams would have been good but it’s taken. The right name is tough. There is a great list here: http://www.thisgardenisillegal.com/other-gardening-blogs
Susan Goes Native? I don’t know if I want my name in it.
Native Dirt? Hmmm…I sorta like that.
Susan’s Bit O’Heaven 🙂
Love it! Thanks.
I hope it will be a bit o’heaven when it is done. I can’t wait until we can do away with the bird feeders because we have so much growing to feed them.
I am wondering if I’m insane to hope to bring quail to our little yard?
That would be way cool if they did. Will you be documenting who are shows up first?
Btw, we released the cowbird yesterday. All grown up and flew like an arrow. I didn’t get a picture, though 🙁 One more out the door.
Absolutely I will be documenting things. I have not yet begun but will start a life list too.
Right now I am trying to figure out where in the yard to place the pond.
Yeah for cowbird being released!
