WONDERING
So much time wondering
about you,
who you were,
where you were,
and all that time
I was living
in the house across the street
from where you used to live
and I wonder,
did you ever
even once,
wonder about me?

That is a question that can sadly never be answered. My dad is still alive and to this day I cannot answer a letter he sent us all just before Christmas. Why because that is exactly what he wants, I will not be told what to do by a letter. Especially when the said letter was not even written personally to me. Yes it had my name on it, but it had been written out 5 times with exactly the same hurtful words. Each one stabbing right through my heart. I know how much you wanted to know your dad. Maybe he would have been everything you always hoped for or maybe like mine he would have made your life a misery.
That you will never know.

How very hard your life has been, Anne. *hug*
So poignant.
Thank you.
Thank you. Of course I’m already in revision mode. :0

Across the street?! Literally “so close, and yet so far away.”
