edited to add that the favorite plate is NOT available. Sigh. Open for suggestions.
Okay, so I’ve named my new car Newbery but now, in keeping with the literary tradition, it’s time to work on a vanity plate. I have 7 letters and have to make them all count. Any suggestions?
I came up with: I RYT BKS
I like it but some people have been against the idea of spelling writing with the “Y”. Other thoughts are:
I WRT BKS (Plate is NOT available.)
I RYT BKS (edited to add this one I forgot)
BK RYTR
BK WRYTR
BK WRTR
BY MY BKS
SHE RYTS
SHE WRTS
I WRYT
BK WRITR
WRDY GRL
A WRDY 1
KID WRTR
Anyone else?
Oh, I love I WRT BKS!
cool – 1 vote for I WRT BKS!
Thanks, Amy
why not just: WRITER
’cause it’s already taken.
Along with normal variations of writer, author, etc.
oh…well, yeah, I imagine in CA you’re not the first to want that….
so…
WR1T3R
4UTH0R
800K5
..all taken?
how bout: WR EYE TR
See, THAT’S why I needed your input, Slatts. I can’t think visually like that.
I get 7 letters and then, if I want, I can put little
1/2 spaces in-between things. CA has the whole thing online so you can see how the plate will look and all.
Hmm…2 votes for I WRT BKS
So what does your plate say?
Years ago, many many years ago, I had WRYTR but had to give it up when I left CA.
You are too funny! I love I WRT BKS:)
ooh…I sense a landslide ahead.
Thanks for the vote.
Funny? Moi? Normally that word is not one associated with me. Usually I’m told I’m way too serious. I think they wrote that on my report card back in the 1st grade.
oh….good point.
I don’t know how many choices. I think I’m probably
going to get frustrated at not getting something fun and “right”
Am I the only one who likes KID WRTR? Ah well. I know lots of people have trouble with the “kidlit” or “kiddielit” term. Personally, I like them. Kid is a nice, useful word.
I like that one too. I like too many of them, which is my problem. 🙂
I don’t have any trouble with kiddielit phrases…I mean, that’s what I do, mostly. I wouldn’t want to try and label myself PB, MG and sometimes YA but yeah, I write for kids.
That one was my favorite, too.
I like WRDY GRL. It might make a policeman reluctant to pull you over too ; )
hahaha…I hadn’t thought about that. Someone else suggested that I might not want people to know it was a girl’s car.
Maybe I’ll get lucky and when the actual plates arrive it will be something that makes sense. I know, I know, an optimist.
I like this one.
BK WRYTR

Oh! Somehow I missed BY MY BKS the first time. I vote for that now! Ha ha!
I like:
I WRYT
I also like I WRT BKS (but you said the plate is not available, no?)
I like I RYT BKS, too.
I love WRDY GRL!
I’ll toss a few in the mix:
Okay. Having way too much fun here 😉
ok, Haemi, I give up.
What is BK PL4T?
😉
>> What is BK PL4T? <<
Maybe it would be better with an E at the end:
BK PL4TE
Or… BK PLATE.
Book plate!
ps – get it? Book Plate, License Plate 😉
Hey Susan, I was passing through and had to chime in. I’m voting for I WRYT (its got that ‘I rock’ feel,) and BY MY BKS (very funny!!)
I’m friending you so I can find out what you picked!
