I mentioned to David Lubar this morning that I love the word “scrod.” I love many, many words, depending on the day and time, weather conditions, emotional barometer, etc.
I love many words and my favourite changes constantly.
I tend to like odd sounding words and it’s become a game to include an unusual one in each book. Ones I’ve used in the last three have been ululating, insouciance and sussuration.
Other words I like are: home, bezoar, chancre, and amity.
Hmmm…
scheize! is one of my favorites. I used to think it meant sh*t in German, but now I know it’s a preposition that prefaces something unfortunate. It’s so fun to say!
Words are like doughnuts; there are too many good ones to pick only one.
Oh come on, everyone does it on Inside the Actor’s Studio. 🙂
Grace is my favorite word.
In all its definitions.
As the song goes, “‘Twas Grace that brought me safe thus far, and Grace will lead me home.”
P.S. Close runner-ups: Joy and Yes.
What’s *your* favorite word?
Perfect word for you!
I love the word YES as a touchstone. It might be my favorite. Did you get my email last night about the class stuff you asked me about?
I love the word “shard” because of its sound, and because it seems to combine “shattered” and “hard”.
And I love the word “mercy” for what it means.
Ooh, that’s a good one. It sounds like what it is.

Okay, that word just makes me giggle. 🙂

I like odd sounding words too. I need to go look some of yours up now. 🙂

I also love the word “giggle.” : )
I love the word giggle!
“YES”
it’s my favorite because it is full of opportunity and possibility!
then again….
“No” is a good word because I am sometimes motivated more when their is a No. And NO also closes the door on having to do things I don’t want to do….
I like YES a lot!!!
Love.
Great choice! Your feet touching the ground yet?
Kerfuffle. It’s funny to me no matter how many times I hear it 🙂
