I’ve been tagged by minabirdwriter
Ground Rules: The first player of this “game” starts with the topic “5 weird habits of yours” and people who get tagged need to write a LJ entry about their 5 quirky habits as well as state this rule clearly. In the end, you need to choose the next 5 people to be tagged and list their names.
Boy, this really makes you stop and think, how much do I really want these people to know about me?
1. If I stop to tie one shoe I have to retie the other one so they are both the same amount of “tight.”
2. When I put food on my plate I eat all of one kind, then all of the next, and so on. I might take a taste of each one to start but then I pick which one I want to end with and eat them one at a time.
3. I write all my fiction first in longhand and I have to use the same kind of pen throughout.
4. Sometimes I make a mud puddle just so I can smell the mud. (Hey, I live in California where we don’t get much rain.)
5. My ideal closet would be a bedroom with nothing but walls and hooks on the walls where I could hang things out in plain sight rather than behind doors in a cramped closet. Until then, the chair and the knobs on the dresser drawers will have to do.
I know I’m late to the game but just in case, writerross, avariecaita, writerjob, d_michiko_f,slatts
I’m not so sure about the mud, but I love that fresh rain and worms smell. It reminds me of jogging at night with my brother at the lake home my parents once had.
Yes, anything to do with rain and water. It’s a definite perk-me-up.
Well, thanks for the tag but this game started rather early, I got tagged first thing this mornin’! (it’s almost tomorrow)….
I do find these interesting tho….
I can completely agree w/ #1! I don’t think there’s a single tthing weird about that. Completely logical unless you can actually tie one to the same tightness and that is impossible.
Laura eats exactly like you!
I’m inspired by #3 as I’m not a good typist .
and 5., yup!
Yeah, I figured I came in way too late. Sometimes I have a hard time with that about LJ, between being on the west coast so there’s the time difference and the day job which means I can’t really go around reading my friend’s blogs first thing in the morning, I am always going to be behind. Which makes me wonder if I can build the networking that I want to here. Too introspective for an early Friday morning.
I also do #3, as I find it earier to write in many different places when inspiration strikes … and I do not have a laptop or an Alpha Smart.
I’ll make mud puddles and stand in them if my heels are bothering me. I figure if it’s good enough for horses than it should work for me
That’s a lot of it too…being portable. I wrote through all my kid’s lessons at gymnastics and horseback riding and karate and stuff. All that waiting I had to do was fine because I could write.
Eventually I make it to the computer but they all start in longhand. I started writing before home computers so I guess it’s all a carryover.
Do I dare admit that I am a separatist as well when it comes to food? π Although, I don’t taste anything first. Someone told me that really intelligent people do that. I think they were just trying to be nice to me!
I think I’ll have to go and comment on your Bookseller/Author post as well.
I have to admit that I only *just* starting tasting things first.
And admitting to my eating habits is a lot easier than admitting some other things. π
